RESOURCE PACKS

Alongside her dance in education work, Caroline has also created resource packs for primary and secondary schools, and community organisations; providing them with a means to implement and teach dance themselves. Resources cover:

  • Icebreakers, warm up games, and cool down ideas

  • Stimulus for choreography, covering a spectrum of dance styles such as Street, Contemporary, Bollywood, Dance styles from around the world, and creative movement

  • Explanation of choreographic tools and how to use them in sessions.

  • Schemes of work and lessons plans spanning 6-8weeks, with ways to adapt for inclusive practice.

  • Lists of useful props and further online resources.

  • Health and Safety aspects to consider whilst teaching.

  • Compiled music playlists for a variety of topics, dance styles and ages.

To see first hand how to use the resources, Caroline also runs teacher-training sessions (INSET) as well as one to one mentoring. These are practical workshops that will run in a school or centre, covering the above topics, enhancing curricular delivery and providing an effective and sustainable dance delivery model.

EDUCATION TESTIMONIALS

“Thank you so much for your wonderful training on Tuesday.  It was very beneficial having someone who is so passionate about dance to teach us.  We all feel like we were given such great ideas and came away from it feeling more confident.  I taught a dance session yesterday based on the techniques you taught us and what the children produced was very creative and fantastic, so thank you once again.” William Davies Primary School, London.
